Northern Ireland Aeromodellers Association attended the Association of Old Vehicle Clubs Annual Show at Ballymena on Saturday. A good turnout by the usual suspects put a display of over 40 models on. Models ranged from basic rudder/elevator electric trainer types thru aerobatic models powered by both glow and petrol. There was also a good collection of gliders including John Pearson’s BIG B52 PSS model at over 5m span. We also had 4 or 5 helicopters, both glow and electric.
In the main arena, the guys put on a good display of flying from discus launched gliders, some electric aerobatic types and then the frenetic flying of some electric jets. Finished off with some C/L combat, for a great overall public display.
